Free or Discounted insulation
The government has set some ambitious targets to increase the number of well insulated homes all across the country.
A range of grants have been made available for loft and cavity wall insulation for owner occupied and privately rented properties to help achieve these targets.
Everyone is entitled to share in these grants! One of our surveyors can confirm which grant you are eligible for.
Having your home properly insulated will conserve energy and will save you money on your heating bills (this can be as much as 60%) and it will benefit the environment.
The grant funding is allocated on a first come, first served basis. However, with the ongoing uncertainty in the economy, many people have applied already and the demand is set to remain high.
Even if you already have some insulation it may not be sufficient as the recommended building standards for loft insulation is now 270 mm (over 10 inches!)
